Pošip Sur lie * Bronze Decanter
Posip Sur lie- grapes harvested at the stage of high maturity usually contain 13.5 - 14 vol% alc. The first half of the fermentation is done in a stainless steel tank, after which it continues and ends in 225 l barrique barrels. Malolactic fermentation is also mandatory, and generally continues after alcoholic fermentation. After the wine has settled in the barrel, the sediment is continued to be stirred on average once a week. The wine is nurtured on the lees in barrique barrels for 6-10 months, after which it is bottled and aged in the bottle for at least 6 months. Terra madre Pošip Sur lie 2019 contains aromas of tropical fruits, almonds and toasted walnuts. Nicely made wine with oak influence and fresh acidity.
It combines perfectly with smoked fish, such as salmon or tuna topped with olive oil, a pinch of pepper and a drop of balasamica aceta with a few mini tomatoes.
