Komarna breaks through!
Komarna is the youngest wine-growing area in Croatia, located on an extremely rugged area, with plenty of sunny days a year. It was here in the early 2000s that machines ground the stone to a depth of 60 cm, so that vines could be planted at all. The vineyard area covers a little more than 80 hectares, and the proximity to the sea and the wind provide ideal conditions for growing grapes, which mainly consist of autochthonous varieties from Dalmatia, grown entirely in an ecological way. Mrs. Dijana Grgić, editor-in-chief and journalist of the magazine Vinum.in, researched this unique wine-growing area these days. The original article is available at the following link.
